9 T h e N F m a r k The NF mark, awarded by AFNOR, validates the design of a model of equipment comprising duly identified elements, conducts tests, checks the design note and through audits ascertains that the manufacturing quality is constant over time by conducting inter partes inspections of both the production materials and the finished products. It only applies to prefabricated and anchored work scaffolding for façades, as specified in standards NF EN 12810 and NF EN 12811. In scaffolding, tubular elements and platforms are certified. Scaffolding can only be deemed NF-certified if all its sub- assemblies are included in the parts list and bear the NF mark. The NF mark guarantees users that scaffolding erected with elements from the same model is compliant with the standards and with the mark's specific regulations, and that its strength and stability can be justified by calculation. AFNOR Certification annually issues a certificate for the right to use the NF mark - site equipment. This certificate more particularly refers to the NF parts list for each model.
