10 11 12 13 14 15 The personal protective equipment must be attached on the Multicrab ( see page 22) at least 1.00 m above the deck on which the operator is working, either around a ledger or through a stirrup. The stirrups at deck level must on no account be used for attaching. One of the two hooks of the fall prevention system must constantly be attached ( except when accessing the upper floor ). • Dismantle the 2 erecting Panacier. • Lay the last aluminium flight. • Fit the rampant guardrails, the second landing guardrail and the toeboard. • Fit the intermediate 1.50 metre cross bar and the 2 temporary Panacier. For a staircase with more than 3 flights, continue erecting it following steps 10 to 14 and fixing an anchor every 2 flights. (step 11: replace the 1.00 m uprights with 2.00 m ones). • Put in place a ledger 0.50 m from the last landing guardrail and the toeboard. • Lock the landing guardrail from rotating using a 2-bolt coupler. • Dismantle the erection decks. • Inspect the scaffold and put the inspection report in the pocket on the “no entry” sign. • Move the temporary deck to the third level. • Fit the top landing guardrails. • Continue erection repeating steps 6 to 10 as often as necessary , depending on the height of the staircase. • Fit the 2.00 m standards. • Fit and lock MDS guardrails using ledgers. • Put in place the 1.50 m ledger on the guardrail. • Wind bracing of the 3 side sections with diagonal braces. 4 s t a n d a r d s a c c e s s t o w e r, a l u m i n i u m f l i g h t s 8 3 Dismantling: dismantle the tower in the reverse order of assembly.
