• Assemble the last flight of the staircase comprising stair stringers, steps and diagonal braces. • Fit the 2 x 1.00 m standards, the last 2 diagonal braces acting as handrails, the ledger at 2.00 m and the toeboards. • Fit the 2 x 0.27 m end sections. • Lift the ledger 0.50 m above the bottom landing to match the 2.50 m headroom and maintain the standard. • Dismantle the erection decks. • Inspect the staircase and put the report in the pocket on the “no entry” panel. • Fit the steps from the top downwards. Lock the inner hooks with self-tightening clips on the bottom legs. • Raise the ledger 0.50 m above the bottom landing to match the headroom of 2.50 m. • Fit the 3 temporary Panaciers. • Install the first 4 diagonal braces acting as lateral guardrails. • From the staircase, fix the tether hook into a stirrup 1.00 m above the landing. • To ensure erector safety, fit a 2.50 m ledger 1.00 m from the central side section. • Fit the 2.00 m standards. • Put in place 5 x 1.00 m standards, 5 x 2.00 m standards, ledgers on the top level and 3 diagonals braces. • Fit and lock MDS guardrails on the last landing using ledgers. • Fit Panacier on the exit landing. 10 11 12 13 14 15 1 0 s t a n d a r d s s i t e s t a i r c a s e , s t e e l f l i g h t s 7 9 Repeat steps 7 to 11 as often as necessary , depending on the height of the staircase The personal protective equipment must be attached on the Multicrab ( see page 22) at least 1.00 m above the deck on which the operator is working, either around a ledger or through a stirrup. The stirrups at deck level must on no account be used for attaching. One of the two hooks of the fall prevention system must constantly be attached ( except when accessing the upper floor ). 2.50 m 2.50 m Dismantling: dismantle the tower in the reverse order of assembly. Fit 6 Panaciers measuring 2.00 m x 0.30 m and 2 Panacier measuring 2.50 m x 0.30 m every 2.00 m of staircase for erecting and dismantling.
