1 2 3 4 5 6 6 5 A c c e s s t o w e r w i t h P a n a t r a p • Place and fit the adjustable baseplates on the distribution shims. • Interlock the basic standards. • Fit the ledgers. • Level. • Fit the initial anchor ties at 2.00 m on the inner standards then the next ones spaced vertically every 4.00 m. • Fit the longitudinal diagonals braces. • Attach the “No entry” sign. • Fit the Panatrap to access the upper level. • Lay the first deck. • Fit the 3.00 m standards. • Fit the toeboards. • Fit the 2.00 m standards. • Fit the third ledgers on the guardrail on the outer side. • From the lower level, fit the MDS guardrails in the stirrups. • Fit the missing ledgers at 2.00 m, by inserting them into the bottom supports of the MDS guardrail. The guardrail is now locked in place. • Fit the missing ledgers and lock the MDS guardrails and the lengthwise diagonal brace on the outside. • Continue the assembly following steps 4 to 6. • Inspect the scaffold and put the inspection report in the pocket on the “no entry” sign". After passing each level, the erector or user must make sure to close the trapdoor behind him. Dismantling: dismantle in the reverse order of assembly. Recommendations • To prevent workers falling from heights, an intermediate ledger is added in the gap between the top of the guardrail and the bottom of the upper deck on the outside, and on the inside for a distance greater than 0.20 m from the building's façade. • Recommendation R 408 states: - At least one access per façade, - A maximum distance of 20 m between 2 accesses. x Erection 01.11.17 T e c h n i c a l i n f o r m a t i o n
