Detailed kinematics on next page. • Fit the missing ledgers at 2.00 m, by inserting them into the bottom supports of the MDS guardrail. The guardrail is now locked in place. • Fit the longitudinal diagonals. • Fit the “No entry” sign. • From the lower level, lay the deck in all the grid sections of the upper level. • Place and lay the adjustable baseplate on the spacing shims. • Interlock the basic standards. • Fit the ledgers. • Level up. • Instal the first platform to facilitate erection. • Complete the platform inside the grid. • Fit the 3.00 m standard. • Fit the ledgers at 2.00 m that do not need MDS guardrails. • Fitting the toeboards. • Fit the 2.00 m standard. • Continue assembling, following the previous steps (3 to 8). • Place the third ledger in the access section. • Secure the stucture with ties as erection progresses. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 The MDS guardrail is used for both erection and normal use. It is fitted from the level below by 1 erector to provide collective protection for the level above.
