MULTICRAB - TECHNICAL INFORMATION - 2023 94 ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS PEDESTRIAN PASSAGE GIRDER •Place and lay the adjustable baseplates on the distribution wedges. •Interlock the 3.00 m uprights. •Fit the ledgers and pedestrian passages with standard legs. •Level. •Fit the anchor points with upright legs on the inside, if possible. •Doubling of the 3.00 m uprights on the outside with 0.15 m ledger. 1 2 3 4 •Fit the guardrail ledgers. •Lay the first complete assembly deck at 1.00 m. • Fit the “No entry” sign.. •Access the deck following the assembly procedure with P.P.E. •Fit the pedestrian passage girders. •Fit the ledgers at 2.50 m and at 3.00 m. •Fit the diagonal braces on every other grid section at least and inversely. •Fit the anchor points on the pedestrian passage girder attached to 2 standards and anchor points halfway up the inner upright, if possible. •Fit the sliding foot at the agreed position according to the façade scaffolding to be constructed. •Lay the longitudinal ledger on the stirrup of the sliding foot. •Fit the complete level of protective deck at 3.00 m with an access trapdoor with PANATRAP (not in an end grid section). •Lay temporary assembly guardrails. •Access to the protective deck at 3.00 m. •Lay the uprights of the façade scaffolding to be assembled. •The assembly of the end uprights is done wearing P.P.E. attached to one of the uprights of the preceding side. 6 P.P.E. attachment points: refer to the P.P.E chapter. 5 •Assembly must be carried out by professional operators who master complex structures. RECOMMENDATIONS •Assembling pedestrian passages requires a special study factoring in the site’s surroundings, the structure being covered, the façade to be treated and more particularly the support points.
